What Community Resources are Available in March for our Wildcat Families?

There are numerous resources available for families in our area and we would like to share them with you.

First we have Wyandotte County CARES!

Kansas State CARES Funds has helped many Wyandotte County agencies provide aid to our community members affected by COVID-19. We hope you can benefit from the many resources made available to you and your family in a time of need.

They have resources related to food, physical and mental health, housing, and clothing.

The Kansas Eviction Prevention Program (KEPP)

The Kansas Eviction Prevention Program (KEPP) provides rental assistance to households that have missed one or more rent payment(s) as a result of the COVID pandemic. Landlords and tenants apply via a joint online process. 

COVID-19 Funeral Expenses

Under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, FEMA will provide financial assistance for COVID-19-related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020.  FEMA will begin taking applications on April 12th, 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted many people in Wyandotte County this year. If you think you may have been exposed, there are many free testing locations in Wyandotte County. Click here to view resources in English and Spanish.
